Hi, I have successfully signed up for merchant account and
successfully integrated with the correct code on my non-secure http
website. I used the Buy Now code generator, and posted the code on my
website with my item and it displays fine.
the problem is when a customer (using internet explorer 7) clicks "buy
Now", the item correctly transfers to the google checkout webpage with
all correct information, but then when the person is signing up for an
account (i.e. typing in credit card information, and then the
expiration and then the CVC code) then tabs to cardholder name, and as
soon as they tab to billing address from the cardholder name field,
internet explorer pops up an annoying message:
"This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to
display the nonsecure items?" (Yes, No, More Info) buttons
If customer clicks yes, then the Lock/secure icon leaves the Internet
explorer address bar. This has the appearance to the customer that
the information is no longer secure.
If the customer clicks no, the lock/secure icon stays in place, and
either way, the page material appears the same. I dont see any images/
logos appearing differently either way.
When i checked the source code of the pages, the one non-secure link
was one near the end of page which was just http://www.google.com (not
https://www.google.com) which was labeled obviously as "Google
What is the problem? Firefox does not seem to do this.
Also, if using Internet Explorer 7, and i tab twice past the
cardholder name (into the second box of the billing address), Internet
explorer notes an "error on page" in the status bar, when clicked
indicates a problem on Line: 191, Char 57, Error: 'style' is null or
not an object. Code 0.
Can someone please help me figure this out. I do not believe its
anything on my end or my sites end. Maybe Google can correct this.
