We have a Class 1 SSL certificate that we acquired from the StartCom (http://cert.startcom.org) for no charge.
Unfortunately that seems to not be supported by google. Is that certificate authority one that you will be incorporating ? If not then please let us know from your experience the cheapest way to overcome this hurdle.
We encountered an error trying to access your server. The error we got is: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.

they have 3 products starting a $99 a year with a multi-year agreement. I had trouble a little with my hosting environment to set it up, they hadn't set up a Network Solutions one before. but in a few days it was sorted out and working great!
