When I log into my calender it loads fine - but a calender which we integrated into our website (iframe) -- a calender which has worked just fine for months and months, at http://web.aktiongrundeinkommen.de/kalender -- has some severe hickups today. It keeps not loading. All we get is a message that one of the integrated calendars (several are displayed in the iframe) does not exist, though it does, and has existed for some time. Strange, this, and I am just hoping that it'll go back into working mode.
Any hint or update on what might be the issue is greatly appreciated!
Looks they just managed to pull off another half-assed update and stuck it right there in the middle once more for their users.
Reading Chris's new update post, who the fuck put a higher priority on "Expanded printing options" and "Send to friend feature" over SYNC and To-Do List?!!
Any moron reading the google posts here would have realized that Sync, Multiple calendars and To do lists are the top 1,2,3 requests. What the hell are you smoking now to come up with baloney like that Chris? Are you spending too much time with the GCal coders?
I've been lurking here for a while. I must say your comments are not appreciated and add zero value to the group. Please don't let the screen door hit you on your way out.

Perhaps the problems today - which seems to have abated as the calender (see above) has been loading - had to do with the recent GCal update, which has now been put on hold. Of course, there is no telling, but that's just what it might have been: http://groups.google.com/group/google-calendar-help-updates/browse_th...
aktiongrundeinkommen- are you still having trouble as of now? The problem you experienced earlier today might be related to our temporary pulling of our latest build. If you can update me on your situation when you see this, I'd greatly appreciate it. If anyone else has trouble with Google Calendar loading, please let me know.
makapav- As you can see from other posts, we don't mind harsh criticisms of Google Calendar here (since we're always looking for ways of making it better), but none of us appreciate personal attacks and vulgar language. It's clear that you're passionate enough about Google Calendar to continue posting, but as I've also mentioned before, please keep it clean.

The calendar seems to be loading now, in Firefox, Opera, and IE7. In the latter, I had to clear the browser's cache before it would do so. But it seems to be working fine now. Should I see or hear of problems, I shall post here.

I have intermittent loading errors one one or two of my calendars. They are not shared at this time, and it always seems to be the same two. One, I've had quite some time.
Here's my theory. Both of the calendars have some kind of "special character" in the name. In one case an "&", and in the other case a "/".
To test my theory I'll try new names for the two calendars to see if the problem subsides and try to report back.
It would be helpful if the code dis-allowed these characters if they in fact are not supported or cause problems.
ThanX for the overall great features. I live by this tool.
I've been having a similar problem (one of my co-worker's calendars) failing to load most of the time for the past week. She has no problems when she logs in herself.

I'm sorry that you're having problems getting some of your calendars to load correctly :0(
Can everyone please let me know what error message you're seeing? This info will help the rest of the team and me figure out what's going on. In the meantime, try clearing your browser's cache (if you haven't done so already) to see if this helps.

I have the same error message as mentioned above. This is the first time. I can't change any Options of this Calendar because the small arrow on the left side semms to be disabled. The other 4 Calendars work fine...

I have had exactly the same problem today (9th May) and found that the answer below works for me too. I didn't know that gmail and googlemail were interchangeable. It would be nice if "upgrades" didn't break existing features on such simple typos. Ian

This is the same bug that has been affecting my ical feeds for my desktop calendar application. Replacing googlemail with gmail in the feed url fixes the problem even though the calendar settings page is still producing @googlemail urls. I've changed the feeds on my application, but a fix for this would be nice.

Thanks for the tip about using other browsers. I've been racking my brain trying to get the calender to show in Safari. I thought I was doing something wrong with the html code. I was only able to see the embedded calendar in my web site when I had my google calender open in another window (ie the non embedded version of the calendar). It shows up in Firefox and Opera and IE. On May 4, 7:30 am, aktiongrundeinkommen wrote:

After the problem of the merged calender not loading seemed resolved (see above) I went away for a week - but then returned to the same problem. The public, iframe-embedded calender (http:// web.aktiongrundeinkommen.de/kalender) did again not load. One of the feeds supposedly did not exist, that is what the error message said. The problem was resolved by theatreinthepound's solution - by changing, in one of the calender feed addresses, "...googlemail..." to "...gmail...".

Thanks for the continuing info on this issue. I'm glad that this problem can be resolved with the great fixes that you guys have tried. I understand this is a frustrating problem and the fixes may only be temporary, as aktiongrundeinkommen mentioned.
We're looking into this issue you've all reported and I'll let you know as soon as I get updates. Please keep posting new info if you continue to experience this problem.

I've been having a similar problem for a couple of weeks now and in particular today. I can create an event, but it can take hours before Google calendar is complete with the saving process ("...still saving entry...") and it can be more hours before I'm able to edit that event.

After reading through your posts and the info you've all given, it sounds like there are a few different issues going on here:
Crackpothead - It sounds like you might not be having the same issue as the one we've been discussing - but I've got a few questions that will help me figure out what's going on. Do you have a Google Mail account? You mentioned that you were able to view your calendar in other browsers than Safari, did you also make changes to your HTML code in order for this to work? Also, were you getting an error message when viewing your embedded calendar in Safari?
For everyone else, as I mentioned in my last post, I'll let you know as soon as I have more information on the problems you've been having with feed addresses. Thanks for your patience guys.

My problem is that todays agenda did not appear in my mail box. It did yesterday. Also the SMS didn't come through. Is there an upgrade or anything of such happening?
I started getting this error today with my Paydays calendar and it appears to be because the Bi-Weekly option has been deleted from the Repeats option list. Come to think of it, the calendar has been loading slowly for awhile now and this may just be the first time I've noticed that my Paydays calendar is missing and unchecked. When I check I get an error saying to try again later. I decided to just delete/rebuild, that's when I noticed the option change.
