Subject: Re: Petition for a ToDo List
I've used Remember The Milk. The service is nice and no doubt the
ideal solution for many people. But for me the To Do list *must* be
integrated and provided by the same vendor. The reasons for this is
privacy and data export. In order for something like Remember The Milk
to work I have to consent for the service to have essentially
unlimited access to my calendar when I am logged in. This is a serious
problem that no amount of "we promise never to do...." will solve. The
data export problem is fundamental as well. I would have to go to do
different services to obtain all my data. That is less than ideal. If
Google provides the To Do list then ideally, the data would be
available from one of the many api's provided by Google.
