When one gets close to the end of a month, it gets difficult to see
all the days around today. So, using the unix cal program, which
makes
a small ascii calendar:

I wrote a script, calaround,

that allows one to see the two months surrounding the current month:

calaround shows the previous, current and next calendar months
usage: calaround [integer1 [integer2]]
[integer1] and [integer2] are a singlesigned or unsigned integer
EXAMPLES:
calaround 0
gives just the current month:

The previous months are proceeded by '<'
The current month is proceeded by '='
The next months are proceeded by '>'
The current day is underlined
calaround
gives the current month and one month before and after
calaround 2
gives the current month and the two months before and after
calaround -2
gives the current month and the two months before
calaround +2
gives the current month and the two months after
calaround 2 8
gives the next month and the eight months after
You may specify any number of months before and after.

Something equivalent with Google calendar would be great.
Possibilities:
1. Sliding a bar up and down to see previous and next months
2. a button to switch to 'half month mode' where the calendar
starts at the center of the month.
