Subject: Jump to a date
Is it possible to jump directy to a month or year without having to
scroll through every intervening month. At the mo it takes a while to
go to a date a couple years away

I just found out how to do this today: It's very easy:

What usually appears in your URL-bar of your browser window while you
are on the Google Calendar site is "https://www.google.com/calendar/
render?tab=mc" I guess. If you want to jump to a specific date, just
add "&date=yyyymmdd" to that URL.

For example: If you want to jump back to December 25, 1914, then add
"&date=19141225" (without quotes, of course...). That means, the URL
for that specific date should look as follows:
https://www.google.com/calendar/render?tab=mc&date=19141225

That was it!!! Have fun...

Great tip!

I tried it and also found that in the same way, if you wish to go back
to Today just enter in the address bar: &date=today

This has been very helpful for me, thanks!  I'm trying to take this
one step farther, and use this option to set the date for an embedded
calendar, but it doesn't seem to work, and always renders to the
current date. I'm using the auto-generated iframe code, and modifiying
it like this:

<iframe src="http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?
date=19190404&amp;title=Timeline&amp;height=600&amp;wkst=1&amp;bgcolor=
%23FFFFFF&amp;src=o24qnfqme7f82phnjfnblsmjrc
%40group.calendar.google.com&amp;color=%2329527A&amp;ctz=America
%2FChicago" style=" border-width:0 " width="800" height="600"
frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

I don't suppose you know of a way to do this, or if it's possible?

Thanks,
Scott

I found another post that shows how to do it by specifiying a date
*range* rather than a single date.

So if I append:

&dates=19190404%2F19190601

then it works just fine, and places the start at 4/4/1919.
