I have set up a private social network site (on ning.com) and have
embedded my google calendar into it. When I am logged in on my google
account, the events on that embedded calendar show, but when I am
logged out, they don't.
I presume therefore that no-one can see the events on that calendar
which defeats the whole embedding purpose.
I think others have this problem, does anyone know how to
a) view events on the embedded calendar without being logged into the
google account
and
b) a.
I also have the same issue. I would like to show free/occupied days
for an apartment rental business to anyone wanting to make a booking
to drastically reduce the amount of time I spend answering
availability requests for all my apartments.
I would like an option not only to display just free/busy times to
'any' user, but also without the information contained in each event.
Is there a plan and/or a timeframe for this kind of service to become
available?

What address did you use to embed the cal. (Calendar Address or Public
Address)?
What are the shared settings for the calendar (click the arrow next to
the calendar and select "Share..")
Open a few events and let us know what the event-level shared settings
are (Default, Private, or Public).
Is this a regular google account calendar or a Google Apps account?

Click the arrow next to the calendar you want to embed - select
"Share..."
Check the box to "Make this calendar public"
Check the box to "Share only my free/busy information (Hide details)"
Save Changes
Now embed the calendar and see if that gives you what you want.

I copied the 'embed this calendar' text option and pasted that, which
created the calendar, but as I said, when I'm logged out, doesn't
allow me to see events.
The events themselves within the calendar are all public but the
'''share my calendar' settings as: Neither of the public nor free/
busyboxes are ticked and I have shared it with my other email address
that I log in to see the social network site but no-one else.
thanks for your help.

When I view the calander in the embedder, i.e. when I click on
'Customise the colour, size and other options' the calander events are
displayed along with the information for each event, however once the
code is embedded into my website no events are displayed.
