Sigh....  "Google Calendar is temporarily unavailable. Please try back
later. In the meanwhile, you might find useful information on our Help
Group and Help Center. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Maybe Google Calendar could CREATE A BACKUP CALENDAR ON A SECOND
SERVER  so that we can at least VIEW our calendar's state hours ago if
there are problems with your main server ? Then we would have a useful
place to go when the server goes down.
