One or more of your selected calendars could not be loaded at this time. You can try to re-select the hidden calendars in a few moments.
I've done some quick searching but don't seem to able to find any
recent complaints about this error message:
"One or more of your selected calendars could not be loaded at this
time. You can try to re-select the hidden calendars in a few moments."
Although I've found a few complaints from a few months ago about this
message. In any case, I am unable to use two of my four calendars -
they won't load, and I get this error message when I try.
Interestingly, it's the same two calendars I have embedded in an
external page - http://davidmck.com/calendar/ The error message there is different though:
"Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you
do not have the permission to view them."
Given that is was working earlier today, I don't suppose this has
anything to do with permissions, but more likely dodgy error message.
Wondering if anyone else is having the same problems?
Google Calendar is temporarily unavailable. Please try back later. In
the meanwhile, you might find useful information on our Help Group and
Help Center. We apologize for any inconvenience.
And now one of the calendars is back, and the other ... well, it's not
happy. If I click in 'Manage calendars', and try to do anything to the
dead cal, I get
"Oops, we couldn't load details for your calendar, please try again in
a few minutes"
and it still won't display. I do notice that this calendar, which
should be shared, is showing no sharing settings from the main manage
screen. I think it's dead, Jim.
I started having the same problem at about the same time. My second
calendar is no longer shared, and can't be. I get the same "One or
more of your selected calendars could not be loaded at this
time. You can try to re-select the hidden calendars in a few moments,"
when I try to manage it from within my gmail account (and the calendar
starts out unhidden.) This same calendar has it's http address
embedded in a remote site.

Thought I might try this from a different angle, and tried connecting
to google calendar via my mobile phone. (Which I do fairly regularly
and successfully anyway).
I can bring up the login page (Using Opera Mini v4) very quickly, but
then when I login in I either get a timeout message from the Operan
Thin client (google not responding) or a server error page from google
(though less often).
I assume it's because the mobile verison of the calendar just provides
a summary, and with the dead calendar in the mix, it dies instead of
just displaying the informaiton it could retrieve.
Me too! I'm having exactly the same problem that DavidMck described.
I've got 6 calendars of my own (all private ones, non-shared) and for
some reason I get:
"One or more of your selected calendars could not be loaded at this
time. You can try to re-select the hidden calendars in a few moments."
when I try to get them all to appear. Normally, they all appear
together automatically as soon as I login to Google Calendar. Now,
when I login, all that displays is my first calendar. I then try to
uncheck & check all the others (after waiting a while and seeing that
they're not coming up by themselves), but two of my 5 remaining
calendars fail to appear, and I get the error message above. Problem
has been persistent for at least half an hour now.
Hope somebody can help with this? It's pretty annoying. I thought
Google Calendar was reliable, so I don't have a second copy of all the
things I've noted in my calendars... so right now I'm stuck!

Nothing I can help, but to tell you I'm having similar trouble,
earlier today I was hitting an error message for the whole calendar
application for one of the domain I'm managing.
Funnily another domain was not hit by the issue I was able to browse
the calendar as if it was nothing...

Same problem: I can't access one of my three calendar. Message "One or
more of your selected calendars could not be loaded at this time. You
can try to re-select the hidden calendars in a few moments."
Noticed it when all events from this calendar disapeared in Sunbird
Ugh! I am getting the same thing! I have one private calendar and
one public calendar.
My private calendar works just fine, but my public one no longer
functions. This stinks since I just added easily 100+ events to it
the past two days.
When I try clicking on the calendar to display it, I get this message:
"Oops, we couldn't load details for your calendar, please try again in
a few minutes" and I sometimes get this message: "One or more of your
selected calendars could not be loaded at this time. You can try to re-
select the hidden calendars in a few moments."
yikes, I really hope all my events are no lost!! I've put so much work
into this and am trying to get my website established based on posting
free events, this will put a huge damper on things!!!!!! I embed my
calendar into my Word Press blog using the WP Google Calendar plugin
and my calendar does not show up there either.

Two of my four calendars are not accessible. Access ends up in the
error message mentioned. I first noticed this problem about five hours
ago and I still do have that problem.

We all seem to be experiencing the same problem. Last night (UK) we
had a power cut and this morning one of my calendars would not load.
Very much doubt now it has anything to do with the pwer issue. At
8.00am 28th March I finally got the calendatr to load and made a
backup to my desk top. Hopefully I will be able to use it. I only had
it working for one hour then it became unavailable again. It is now
2.45pm(UK) and I just cannot get the calendar to load. The name it is
showing is not the label it normally has. The not standard name is
similiar but not identical to the url you get when you want to publish
a link. This must be a google server or software issue. Are the google
people aware. When I get back to my office I am going to import the
backup into another google account and see if it opens. Just before I
post this message I will try to load the calendar. No still getting
"One or more of your selected calendars could not be loaded at this
time".

...and me too. :-S I have 5 private calendars, 4 of them are not
loading. It does not matter whether I access the calendar from my
office pc (linux) or my personal laptop (windows). The public
"weather" calendar is working.
I will try at home later today, but I have the feeling this is a
server problem...
I had this same issue come up with two separate calendars. Here is the
rundown of what I did before they became unavailable:
Calendar 1 has been publicly shared using the HTML embed code for
several months without issue. This morning, it was unable to load.
The embedded calendar shows a calendar title of 'null' and shows the
red 'Loading' box for a while (a minute? two?). It then gives some
error about sharing. Within the google.com/calendar interface, I get
the "Oops, we couldn't load details for your calendar, please try
again in a few minutes" error whenever I select Calendar 1. In the
'Settings' area, Calendar 1 now appears that it is not shared, and I
cannot open the details of the calendar (I click and nothing happens,
no feedback or error).
This morning around 9:50 am EDT, I created Calendar 2 in order to
replace the embedded Calendar 1 (I needed it to be available ASAP, so
this was a replacement). It displayed in the HTML embed immediately
after creation, and I was able to add events through the google.com/
calendar interface.
Later, around 10:30am EDT, I checked Calendar 2. It now has the same
behavior as Calendar 1 (unable to load in the HTML embed, unable to
load in google.com/calendar).
Maybe this problem has to do with accessing the calendars via an HTML
embed?
Just last night, and for the first time, I added the google calendar
right smack in the middle of my sites home page and it was working
wonderfully. NOW...the darn thing is down and out! I certainly hope
Google resolves this ASAP...
PS: failover? backout? come on Google, you're better than that, or at
least your price-paer-share would suggest so...

I have the same problem. 1 out of my 3 calendars cannot be access. Try
accessing the calendar via my iPhone resulted in this message "Oops,
we're sorry, Google Calendar is temporarily unavailable. You can cross
your fingers and try again in a few minutes, or take a look at our
help center for more information."
Google Calendar was somewhat unresponsive for most of the day, with
some calendars not loading from time to time, but since two hours or
so those 4 out of 5 calendars stopped working completely...
Same problems here. This is not the first time I've experienced it
though, but this is the first time that reloading doesn't work. Has
happened several times on and off over the past few weeks. Today
though seems to be sticking longer.

I am having the same problem.... "One or more of your selected
calendars could not be loaded at this time. You can try to select the
hidden calendars again." This started about three months ago and has
been getting worse ever since. Now, at least 4 out of 5 times I log in
I get this error.
This is such, you get what you pay, for bullsh!t. After all, it is
free, right...? I would expect this from a Beta release of the
calendar, but from what I understand this is not Beta, and the fact
this is so problematic is incredibly irresponsible of Google.
