Hi
I plan to develop an application (for andrdi & iphone) that help
updating status, share photos, link etc in Google Buzz. Obviously in
order to accomplish this, I would be using Google Buzz API. The API
documentation which I have read so far, gave me impression that
currently you can only get RSS feeds of all the postings on your buzz
account, but you can not publish or share anything through it. Is this
right or I am missing something.

Please advice.

That is correct, we do not yet have an API for publishing content into Buzz.
 I'm not able to give you an exact timeline, but we are working to have it
available as soon as possible.  If you want to get a head start before the
API is published, you can review some of the technologies mentioned here[0].
 Familiarity with those will help you get up and running much quicker once
the API is available.
