Is it possible to import a non-blogger xml file?

I am trying to import an xml file that I exported from blog.com into
my blogger account, but once I select the file, complete the word
verification and click "import blog" it says "finished" with a green
status bar moving back and forth, yet there are still no entries
imported. (Browser: Safari 3.1.1) Can anyone help?

Hi Kristen.

Blogger currently only supports importing a blogger XML file or a file
that has been converted into a blogger XML file. blog.com is a hosted
version of WordPress, so please attempt to convert the file that you
have using:

http://wordpress2blogger.appspot.com/

And then use that converted file as the one that you import into
Blogger. Let me know if you have any troubles with this export/
conversion/import process.
