Google Script started running super slow

Hello!

I am developing some scripts for Google Sheets, and they started running super slow today. A code that would take 4-5 seconds to run is now taking 50-60 seconds.

Is this a widespread problem with Google servers or something?

Happened to me yesterday as well. I'm hoping it was a temporary problem

I am seeing the same thing - even just copying a 2x10 cells range from one sheet to another is taking maybe 30 seconds since Yesterday.  It's basically unusable for me.

Seems like it can't be 100% widespread, so not sure if resaving or something can change which server or region the script is running on - that is basically what I'm going to try first.

A big slow down 6x slower or more!

Since March 2nd my time. (March 1st USA time I guess... I;m in Australia)

The script below has worked fine for the last 10+ years.

I am having the same problems suddenly my scripts are 3 times slower from 30sec to 90sec

Im glad its not just me...   I hope (NEED) this to be straightened out ASAP.  I have tried everything I can think of assuming it may have done something I have done but it is not.

This has crippled my workflow.  I have a basic GUI setup in one sheet and populate data from another inventory sheet. Very simple Database and buttons to jump between tabs.  Nothing crazy.

Jumping from one tab to another would take 2 seconds now taking 20+.

Populating data to make changes takes even longer.  I have automated an onEdit command that uses a cell to search the database, and on a change clears the form, then populates the Data in the GUI then jumps to the next line so I can enter a quantity...   Quick, Easy, Fast, Effective, Awesome!  Now... This is completely unresponsive.  Nothing happens.  At this point I can not rely on Google for my business anymore.  I have to do everything manually an I will not be able to keep up.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Was working fine in the morning then suddenly slowed down.  I have to talk to my wife on the time but I can probably narrow down to the time within 5-10 min.

Checked the logs and see that there is a significant change and also completely unresponsive on certain scripts.

Thought it was Chrome or something...   Checked for updates..  updated OS on iPad, MacMini.  Restarted multiple times...  gave up...  thought it might clear up later.

Still problems...  Tried Safari, same thing.  Tried Safari on the iPad in desktop mode as I often use it and is exactly the same amount of time.

I thought if something changed for some reason in a script, ill open an archived database.  Every week or so I will make a copy of the Sheet as a backup in the case i mess something up.  Opened the archive sheet and functioning the exact same way...  As well as ALL other older versions.  

Well...  maybe its my network.  Im trying the same thing using my phone as a hotspot as well as writing this post....   still nothing.  Acting exactly the same.

I am legitimately screwed if this issue does not get resolved quickly

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  For myself and for all of the others that have trusted Google for their business.  Fantastic product, shouldn't complain because its free...  however, I am now beside myself and regretting the time and effort i spent learning this platform and building a database to run my business if I now have to pay for a solution that is reliable.

I have been having the same issue since the 2nd or 3rd as well.  This morning I posted my concerns and troubleshooting steps as well and that it is seriously effecting my business.  

I just got back home and tried a PC...   Thought it was then the issue was related to Apple products, then came back over to my Mac and I kid you not, After almost a week it is resolved..  Just like that...  Not only that but i believe it may even be 25% faster....   Seems a bit snappier and I couldn't be more happy.  

Hopefully this fix sticks.  

Please reply if you are still. having issues, OR even if it is running the same or better.

Now it is wildly different and fails sometimes. All very strange.

same for me, scripts that have ran without issues for months/years are now so unstable and either take ages to run or fail to run as it times out, on lots and lots of my scripts not just 1. causing real issues

I have exact same problem, script that shall take less than 20 seconds, sometimes takes over a minute and it seems random. Any progress on that Google?
