xmpp.send_invite doesn't work for non-google JID's

xmpp.send_invite does not send invite when from_jid parameter is set
to *@app-id.appspotchat.com and jid is non-google (non-GTalk) JID.
My test app: http://xmpp-test.appspot.com/?from_jid=te...@text-xmpp.appspotchat.com
Can somebody confirm this, please? Just enter your non-google jid into
jid input and press "invite" button.
