Could this be the root cause of indexes problems that require Google intervention and slow us down?

BACKGROUND: Every time I make a major change to my composite indexes
in index.yaml I end up with tons of problems that are resolved only
with Google intervention(s). I have see that others have been
reporting similar issues. There are a few bugs in the bug database but
with very little info on how one gets into that situation.
ROOT CAUSE: Based on my experience, and what I have seen elsewhere, I
filed defect http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=2124
with very detailed steps on how to reproduce the problem that I
believe I have seen most of the times. In short, if you have more than
50 indexes and you vacuum and then update your indexes you will hit
the problem.
ACTION ITEM: If you have seen similar problems please read the bug and
star it if it seems to relate to the way you got into trouble.
