Cannot start dev_appserver.py

Hello,

Maybe just a Python question, but I cannot start dev_appserver.py, it
fails with the following message:

AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'HTTPSHandler'

Im running on Windows Vista x64 with the latest Active Python
installed. Do I need OpenSSL? Can I switch of the https feature for
development?

Yes. You might have some libraries missing. I've set the SDK on OS X
using the following py25-hashlib and py25-socket-ssl. You might need
some other libs.

osx users can use mac ports to install all dependencies:

- though I still have an issue with md5 when using django's template
library.
