What happens during the beta period if the quotas are reached? I'm
definitely interested in porting over an application, but I will
require more than those 5M pageviews.

Thank you

I'm guessing they will have a commercial model once this is off the
ground.

Just a hunch.

It was mentioned in deed that after beta they will charge for the
"excess". The question is what happens during the beta? I don't mind
paying what I use I just don't want to move now, reach my quota and
have my application shut down.

Thank you that answers my question ... hopefully they'll want my money
before the end of the beta period.

Now the odd part is ... 65k HTTP requests per 24 hours rolling
periods, that won't do 5M pageviews per month for sure.

My question is, what is the 500MB storage for? Will GAE host actual files?

I'm also curious as to how long it will be before 'extra' space is offered, if they are actual files. If they host actual files, then i'd like to pay for more space aswell.

There is no support for files (for now). This means data in the Data
Store.

Will it be supported in the future? I suppose what i am getting at is, will this GAE setup allow me to host my app (website) in full, and do everything i do with my current webhost, in the future?

Since honestly, this has a ton of potential, but im still not positive where you guys are heading with it heh.

Now here is something I don't get at all ... those 65K HTTP Requests
per day. That seems like really small amount and actually the number
of Fetch URL API calls is limited to 160k per day, so an app is
entitled to fetch 3 files per HTTP Requests, that doesn't make any
sense at all.

Hi All,
There is a typo in the article, as you have noticed. The correct
number is 650K HTTP Requests per Day.

It will be fixed soon, thanks for bringing it to our attention.
