Disabling Transfer-Encoding: chunked

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to disable chunked transfer
encoding (without using gzip either). I have a simple application that
reads from a page, and it would let be avoid a lot of hassle if I
could simply not have to deal with chunks.
