Starting this evening at approximately 10 PM PT, App Engine has
experienced datastore issues - specifically, increased error rates on
datastore API write calls affecting many applications. We are
proceeding with unplanned maintenance at this time in order to resolve
these issues; all applications may experience read-only access to the
datastore for the next hour.

Issues with datastore access have now been resolved.
