Master/Slave datastore outage on 2012-02-28

Starting on 2012-02-28 at 10:56am PST and ending on 2012-02-28 at 11:05am PST, we experienced a brief infrastructure issue that disrupted datastore usage for Master/Slave applications. High Replication Datastore applications were not affected. While we’re always working to improve stability and prevent recurrence of such events, Master/Slave applications are more susceptible to periodic outages of this nature.

High Replication Datastore applications are resilient to infrastructure outages of this type, and have a much shorter mean time to recovery than Master/Slave applications.  We encourage users to migrate their applications to HRD.
