Hi Everyone. We are currently investigating an issue that is affecting
many App Engine applications using the Users API, causing the
problematic behavior and 500 errors reported in many threads this
morning. Clearing your cookies, specifically the ACSID cookie, fixes
the problem. We will update this thread when any new details are
available, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this
as soon as possible.

To reiterate, this is only affecting applications that use the Users
API, and a short-term fix is to clear your browser's cookies.

This issue has been resolved for affected users. Again, only users of
App Engine applications that perform authentication using the Users
API could have been affected by this issue.

Deployment of applications should also be functioning normally. App
Engine developers noticing issues during application deployment may
try deleting their admin cookie. On Unix/OS X machines, this is stored
at ~/.appcfg_cookies. On Windows machines, this cookie is usually
stored at C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\.appcfg_cookies.
