I actually posted this to the API notes section already (which I
shouldn't have), but heres the same question.

I wonder if I've understood something wrong... I have a transaction
(id 007) and that transaction includes an item (sku 123, quantity 4).
So I've made the order, and it shows up in GA just right. But lets say
that I made a mistake, and only wanted to order 3 items, not 4. So I
go and edit my order accordingly and se the quantity to 3 (order id
and sku stays the same). When I sent the tracking info for this I've
now got order id 007 showing in GA with 7 times sku 123. I was under
the impression that if the order id stays the same, the info would be
overwritten? Umm.. help?

Hi,

This groups if for developers building on our data export API. For
general implementation questions please use our general user forum:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google+Analytics/?hl=en

If there are two order id's within the same session, Google Analytics
will only report the first one. This ensures if people refresh the
page, the total revenue doesn't double.
