  By default, the Feeds API parses out a snippet of about 120 characters &lt;br&gt; in length. To change the length of this snippet, you will have to get &lt;br&gt; the feed in mixed format and then parse your own snippet out of each &lt;br&gt; entry&#39;s content tag. Beware, though, that the tag will vary depending &lt;br&gt; on the format of the feed.

  I think you will have to create your own control, but it&#39;s really not &lt;br&gt; all that difficult if you know some basic Javascript and DOM &lt;br&gt; manipulation.
