feed api question - lookup by entry id

Hi,
Would it please be possible to know if there is plan in the feed API
roadmap to allow for lookup of an entry by id?
Feeds produces by Google reader associated a unique id to each entry.
I am implementing a use case where user A wants to share that entry
with another user and instead of passing the entire content of the
entry I would like to only pass the entry id and load the entry
dynamically on the other side.
