ajax api limitations

Just curious....

Is there any way around the maximum 32 search results (like a
commercial/paid API key) to get unlimited search results?

If there is, it's not publicized unless you want to talk about search
appliances, etc. You might try a Custom Search Engine, which is
hosted by Google but gives you some control over layout, etc.
