I have been using Google News Show on my site for over two years with
no problems. Yesterday, May 5, all of the sudden, the box went from a
nice, clean look with a photo and some links to a window with a slider
and a headline. Is there any way to change it back?
Here is a link to my site:

http://www.newjerseynewsroom.com/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A little more of a visual:

The appearance changed from this:

http://mashable.com/2009/02/03/google-newsshow/

to this …

Is there a way to change it back, was it hacked, etc?

The problem is that the English version of the CSS is being served blank. It's been reported on the issue tracker at the link below, and I'm sure that the dev team will look into it and respond asap. In the meantime, if you're not using the iframe method, you can simply add one of the other language CSS files to your page, and it should just work.

Thanks ...
We are using the IFrame method. Is there any other way to change or should we just wait it out?

Unfortunately, if you're using the iframe method, there's not much you can do. You'll have to wait it out or switch to the regular JS method.

Thanks for the report, and thanks for opening the ticket, Jeremy.

I'm not able to reproduce on this side (see attached screenshot from newjerseynewsroom.com), but any additional info you have could be useful in helping us track this down.  Is it still broken for other people here?

DeWitt-

It's still broken in Des Moines, IA, even on the page that you linked. Could be a dc issue?

Yes, quite possible that some of the static files didn't propagate to all of the edge caches correctly.  (I haven't seen that happen before, but that doesn't mean it can't.)   Investigating...

I have run the Wizard in every other language and it works correctly

It appears to be fixed. Thanks again for the help.

DeWitt,

Not sure if related to news show issues in this thread, but is being
served in plain text on my site as of today, was working fine on Thu/
Fri last week, re: http://chris-augeri.com/blog/. However, setting
loadOptions.language = "en-GB"; (as described at
http://code.google.com/apis/newssearch/newsshow/) fixes temporarily
while "en-US" isn't working. Not sure what issue is, but there is a
bit of a workaround at least on our developer side.
