Hi All,

I can't find much documentation on setKeywords.
Could it potentially hurt (reduce available ads and result in lower
eCPM) if we use setKeywords()?

Also, some of the posts in the forum mention that setKeywords() is
ignored. Is this true?

Thanks!

Chad,

Currently, keywords do nothing if you're using an AdMob ID, which is
why there isn't much documentation on them. You may wish to leave them
in your app as we may decide to use them as a signal in the future.

Thanks,
-Tim

Ok... so AdMob does not use the keywords.
but what is about the backfill ADSENSE?

I did used AFMA SDK before where I could set Keywords and the result was pretty great.
So what can I do? How would I set Keywords with my Adsense ID?

I use AdMob & AdWhirl.

thx

According the Help section here:

http://helpcenter.admob.com/content/enabling-google-adsense-ads-your-applications

It says:

Can I filter or manage the AdSense ads that run in my application? Do
the existing filters I set for my application apply to AdSense ads?
No, at this time you are not able to apply any filters on the content
or type of AdSense ads that run inside your application.

We thought we might put in subliminal messages like "click more" or
"more clicks mean more happiness" - but I don't think AdMob will think
it is as funny as we do. It would be nice to know when AdMob expects
to have the filters start working for Adsense. Any word on that?
