People interested in jobs and unemployment, state data, and other economic issues, like output and capacity utilization, will be interested in the Economic Policy Institute's new service, ECONOMY TRACK, at http://www.economytrack.org/mainchart.php
Here is its description: "Economy Track was created by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) to
provide in-depth analysis on the job market and the overall economy. We
present data in an interactive and user-friendly format that permits
simple demographic and regional analyses.
Since 1986, EPI has
been working to broaden the discussion about economic policy to include
the interests of low- and middle-income workers. Although economic
cycles ebb and flow, data show that it is getting progressively harder
for the average worker to get ahead in good times as well as bad.
Today, amid mounting unemployment and rising wage inequality, it is
more critical than ever that people who work for a living have a voice
in the debate over economic policies."
Thanks to NJFAC Advisory Board member, Prof. Frank Stricker, for the citation.
