database textbook

[Brock Sides]

Would anyone on the GOLUM list in Memphis have one of the following
textbooks I could borrow?

A First Course in Database Systems by Ullman and Widom
Database Systems: The Complete Book by Garcia-Molina, Ullman, and Widom
Database Management Systems by Ramakrishnan and Gehrke
Fundamentals of Database Systems by Elmasri and Navathe
Database System Concepts by Silberschatz, Korth, and Sudarshan

I'm taking Stanford's free online database class, and I don't feel
like paying $70 for a used textbook.

Neither the Memphis Public Library nor Rhodes has any of these. I
don't have access to the UofM library.

I notice that Amazon has the second one used starting at $19.50.  Perhaps there are more on your list available this way?

You might go to the library or call and ask if they can arrange a
transfer from another library. Interlibrary Loan Department
(415-2705).

I'd also check TPB and http://librarypirate.me/ . I'm not a huge
pirate, but most (if not all) textbook publishers have been doing
Really Bad Things for quite a while - I see no reason to reward the
behavior. If you move quickly enough, the invisible hand is made of
delicious, invisible meat ;)

But sorry - I don't have any of those titles.
