由於科技創新的難度越來越高，現在許多創新是過去創新成果的轉換或累加，今後類似愛迪生或是愛因斯坦這類運用個人的天賦創新將會越來越少，反而是集合眾人的智慧 創新才會有所突破技術的瓶頸。如何成能匯集團體的智慧？就要靠研發人員、生產人員、市場人員、甚至競爭者間平等而開放的對話。以前同行是冤家，現在我們看到同業 必須合作，才能在"你泥中有我、我泥中有你"，共同分享創新的成果。

　我很樂意看到「世界咖啡式」的對話能在各個領域得到應用，我堅信在這種平等、開放的平台，真誠的對話，人類的許多重要問題可以得到解決。試想：家庭成員可以用「 晚餐咖啡時間」來對話，公司成員可以用「企業咖啡時間」來對話，政治團體可以用「和平咖啡時間」來對話，那麼，許多悲劇都可以避免，這個世界將會更和諧，人類更 幸福與快樂。
