Benji,

Leonard Maltin wrote a book called "Great American Broadcast, A Celebration
Of Radio's Golden Age" by Nal Books New American Library. He gives a short
Intro into the early days of radio. If you cannot get this book I might be
able to type it out for you the basic parts you are looking for.

Hello, My name is Benji Mallicoat, I am a journalism student at San
Jose State University. I am writing a research paper on the origins of
radio in the United States. The focus of the paper is specifically
regarding the locations of the first radio stations. Any information
you can give me will be extremely helpful, and greatly appreciated.

I don't know about peanut butter but the old-time radio shows were
great. Here in Iowa, we can still listen to them from 6:30 to 7:00
P.M. each night. GREAT STUFF!

My suggestion,use Jay Hickerson as the starting base,and work from
there.What you are planning is a life time workload as there are many
thosands of shows out there.Most are not complete as such.Take YTJD
there are still a few missing shows in the series.Lone Ranger missing 6
out of 3500 odd,but Jerry H says he has them all.I would sugggest start

I'd like to put together a list of Golden Age Radio shows and series
that are 100% complete, as in the following criteria:
1. All episodes available for every scheduled episode date in
series.
2. No 'skipped' episodes or 'rain date' episodes
3. Shows with original bumpers or commercials (either coast) a plus
