GC mistakes cadence for power in calculating best intervals and CP

Hi,

I have recently installed GC 2.0 on a mac osx 10.6. Using SRM power
control V and downloaded the PL2303 library to manage the connection.
After I installed the serial connection software the download seemed
to go fine. All my files were recorded in one big file, which I split.
Once I looked in the files I noticed something strange. In the graphs,
my power shows up like normal, as a red line, and if I hover the
cursor it tells me my instantaneous power there. However, if I try to
find intervals or peak powers or calculate the critical power curve,
GC seems to use my cadence instead of my power to calculate these
values (then claims the measurement is in watts). I have a short tempo
piece in my file today where it is clear everything is over 300W for
more than 20 mins (with 30s smoothing) and GC claims my peak 20 mins
is around 80w!

Any solution appreciated!

Cheers,

Cam

Hi Cam,

Can you share a ridefile with us?

Also you might try using the v2.1 -RC2 build from here:
http://goldencheetah.stand2surf.net/?p=586

It contains significant upgrades to how we download from SRM and
handle ridefiles.

if you try the latter let us know if it fixes your issue.

Jamie

Hey,

Thanks for the response Can you let me know how to upload files and I
will try to share the file and a screenshot of the behavior? One thing
I just tried: when I export the .gc file as .csv, then import it back
in, it knows what power is and reads it properly! Truly weird. I will
also see if things are better with v2.1 and report back on that when I
upload file and screenshot.

Cheers,

Cameron
