Appears Hector Chu has done some great work getting Go to run on Windows [1].

Is there a mailing list somewhere to discuss that port or should that be kept on this list?

Thanks,
Michael

Hector is working at getting the code integrated into
the standard Go distribution, so here is as good a
place as any.

For an early preview http://code.google.com/p/go-windows/ works pretty
well.
The problem is that gofmt, godoc and others are not yet ported.

For these utils I run coLinux - it's quick and easy, just an other
window without virtual machine bloat.

Check out andLinux or Ulteo Virtual Desktop if you want an out-of-box
coLinux solution.

(coLinux is smaller, but command line only and requires some Linux
knowledge.)

Beware that andLinux won't work on Vista64. Not sure about Win7/64

Thanks CCs for bringing up coLinux and friends as an option.
Unfortunately as Dimiter points out coLinux and anything based on it
won't run on x64.

Guess I'll have to continue to log into a Linux box to test Go code
which leads to a rather disjointed work cycle. And running in a vm isn't
really much better.

I hope the Windows port can make rapid progress.

Thanks,
Michael
