I have the latest version of GogTashs and Outlook 2007.
When I click on the button to allow the use of my Google account, a
code to be entered appears. I click on "Enter Code", paste the code,
but an "Invalid code entered" error pops up.
I'm behind a proxy, but I can connect to Google services also via
GogTasks (otherwise I couldn't get the code by Google).

Thanks

There are some issues with the Google authentication algorithm when behind a
proxy, I've had other customers reporting this. It's a bit difficult for me
to fix though, since it's a plugin library from Google I'm using for this.
I'll see if I can do anything about it though.

How are your GogTasks connection settings? Have you checked manual proxy
configuration, or is "Use settings from IE" checked?

Kind Regards,

I have tried both. When I'm without proxy (at home) everything works fine. When I'm behind a proxy (at office) I cannot become authorized.

Thanks

Hello Gino and Frode

I have had the same authorisation issue as you Gino, which I managed to fix when I contact Frode some months ago. I can get the authorisation code, copy and past it in the "Enter code" box and then it is rejected each time. I have tried from the browser, with different proxy settings and so on.. I cannot find a way round it this time. I know this post is a bit stale, but did you manage to find a reliable workaround?

Thanks

Ray

I haven’t done any further research on this yet, but it is still on my Todo-list. Hopefully I will get time to look at it in May. I will post in this group if I find a solution.

I've finally come around and made an attempt at fixing this. If anyone is still reading this thread, I'd very much appreciate if you tested one of this compilations of the software. I have still not made the change permanent, as I have not been able to reproduce the problem and thus test the fix locally.

You can download and install one of the following, depending on your Outlook version:

After installing, restart Outlook and attempt a new login. Hopefully you will authenticate correctly, but if you get an error message please click the Send error report button.

The URL for the 2003-version is:

I just published it.

Well that's weird. Do you have .NET Framework 3.5 installed? This is a core component of .NET 3.5.

I've tested the plugin on my test bench with Windows XP, Outlook 2003 and .NET 3.5 SP1 without any error so all I can suggest is that you try to repair or reinstall .NET 3.5 SP 1.

Ok I'v reinstalled .NET 3.5 and now it works correctly, authorization works with internal browser window.
If I try with external browser and paste the auth code it fails.MAybe the proxy settings.
Now It works and I'm able to download task in Outlook activities, there's a way to mantain the list names in Goggle?
Now all task in list on google are synchronized in one activity group....

Outlook assigns a category similar to the list name of the task. See:

In v6 of Outlook I plan to add a feature which allows you to let GogTasks sync to folder* corresponding to list.
