It has been a busy day, well at least emotionally. I got a call from our attorney that is helping appeal the decision from the Children's Court that Michael can not travel with us to the United States. He called to say that the decision was complete, but that we would not be able to find out the Judges' sentence until Monday after the paperwork was "Registered."... more »

We have a court date!

We found out today that the paperwork made it through the first steps! Thank you for your prayers. November 16th @ 9:00 AM we have a court appearance scheduled with the judge that can overturn the restriction the first judge placed on our guardianship approval. Today we are depositing the paperwork to appeal the judges decision that excludes Michael from traveling with us. This paperwork will be deposited in the office of the judge that originally denied the travel petition. This office has three days to prepare copies of all the paperwork they received as part of the original hearing and pass the appeal along to the President... more »

I just wanted to let everyone know that Melissa and Kate are in the Florida on furlough. They will be in Lakeland until Sunday, and then they will be traveling to Alabama and Tennesee.
