Error installing God

Greets.
I'm simply running a gem install on a RHEL 5 machine and receiving the
following error. Has any one else come across this? Or is it a problem
with the gem? (Also, I've both rubyforge and github as gem sources.)
I'd like to think that I'm not a newbie, but I've never come across
this before.
<pre>
$ sudo gem install god
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Zlib::GzipFile::Error)
not in gzip format

I believe this is a problem if your rubygems is too old.
