Is god dead?

I have to ask, is god dead?
Lately, all I am seeing out of the google groups is spam.

If there is any activity out there, I would love to hear a response.

Hi Andrew,

It's not dead. We use it in production at GitHub. I try to keep up
with the spam but Google Groups is pretty bad at filtering and the
interface for removing spam is pretty horrible.

Hey Tom,

Just an FYI. I would suggest using the setting under Access > Message
moderation > No moderation - messages are delivered directly +
Messages from new members are moderated. This will eliminate a ton of
spam because most spammers will have to post a message that makes
sense before they can start spamming.
