to God In Music City
I'm wondering, very pragmatically, if one way to think about music,
God, and Nashville is, perhaps, to see them in a mutually co-
constructive relationship.

On the one hand, musicians construct religion and Nashville into the
kinds of identities they need musically, religionists construct
Nashville and music into identities they can use, and Nashvillians
construct music and identity for their own purposes. Of course, for
all of us living in Nashville, all three identities co-exist within us
as individuals, in a similar kind of co-constructing conversation.

If this hypothesis seems in some way correct to you, how does it work
for you or in your experience with religion, music, and our city?
