Am half-way through this book, and find it a really fascinating story, that tells us a lot about the life and times of one generation ago. Prabhakar Kamat, educated in Portugal, was also a senior Government of India official. Hence some very interesting and insightful perspectives!

You might be right if you feel I'm tempting you to read this book. But that's only because it's such a well-narrated story (and not because co-author Sharmila, now a scientist in the US, was my colleague in another era in the Herald!). FN

PS: It's available at Broadway. Published by Rupa & Co. Rs 195. Not sure how many copies they have in stock though.
