Has a GPL infringement case ever been brought to litigation? As
someone who maintains too many lines of copylefted code, I worry that
the inevitable case of a software company blatantly violating GPL and
saying "sue us, we think the GPL won't stand up in court and we have
more money than you for lawyers anyway" could result in GPL-protected
code being thrown into the public domain ... for many authors, it
would not be financially possible to mount a challenge.
