Is financial disclosure for the early
years of the FSF publically available? Are current financials
available? Through FSF? Through the state of Massachusetts?

Because the FSF is a public charity, the Commonwealth requires various
disclosures. I don't know exactly what they are. If you contact the
Massachusetts Department of Revenue and/or the Massachusetts Secretary
of State, they can probably tell you what there is. In addition, we
are audited by the Commonwealth to ensure compliance with all the
relevant public charity laws. I don't know whether the law requires
handing out financial information (and our treasurer is on vacation
this week), but there certainly aren't any secrets.
