Problem after compilation with G++

HI,
I am orking on Red hat linux 9.0. using the g++ ver
4.0.0 compiler. After compiling the code with g++ when
I run the executable it gives me error

./a.out: error while loading shared libraries:
libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory
I have recently installed the gcc ver 4.0.0.
