Two releases: 8.0.14 and 8.1.0-beta

On the launchpad site, http://launchpad.net/vm, you will find two
releases not announced before.

8.0.14
The same as the earlier release 8.0.13 but fixes an incompatibility
with XEmacs. (Thanks to Matthew Lovell for reporting this.)

8.1.0-beta
The beta-testing release of our *new* version 8.1, which has
significant improvements over 8.0.x, including full support for IMAP
servers. If you already use imap-folders or will want to use them in
future, please be sure to read the info manual section on "Server
Folders" and the subsection on "IMAP Folders". The naming of the IMAP
folders has changed to make it easier.

This code has been in use by many people over the last two years as
the 'devo' version. So it is quite stable. Please report all
problems you might find, including those in the manual and inline
documentation.

The official release of 8.1.0 will go out in roughly a month's time.
We will want to make it as clean as possible and advertise it widely
so that people know VM is back!

This version has major contributions from Robert Fenk and Ulrich
Mueller in addition to my own. So, the credit goes to the whole team.

Several users have also contributed bug fixes over the years. Our
thanks go to all of them.
