Subject: Very newbie question - setting console colours
I have searched the info files, dotemacs.org and god knows where else
but I cannot find any info on setting colours when using emacs on a
console. I don't use X so those sections don't help.

Emacs 20 doesn't yet support colors on a Unix tty.  The next version will.
