Take a look at the variable `gnus-posting-styles'. I guess what you want
is perhaps posting to different groups using different user names, mail
addresses, signatures, charset encodings etc. If so, then that's it.

I use gnus-parameters to set "per group" posting-style. The posts go out
with the "per group" sender I want but sending cancels fails for non
default sender email.
P.S.
I use different email addresses based on newsgroup language
(english/polish) and content (technical/"political").

Seems like a bug in the cancel functionality. It's probably not too
hard to fix, if anyone is interested.
