comp.lang.forth
The 386 assembler I wrote in Bash about a decade ago worked.

You may recall that I wrote a 386 assembler in Bash about a decade
ago. I just posted
an outline of a similar assembler to comp.lang.forth that could
assemble machine code
for the 386 or the ARM from the same assembly source.
The original shasm is in ftp.gwdg.de/pub/cLIeNUX/interim
