I love the pidgin plugin. I have always hated leaving my buddies list
open all the time.
Here is some simple feedback about what is most annoying.

When I open up a new chat with a buddy from the plugin, the chat
window is displayed in the background instead being in the front with
focus. Also if I already have a chat open and I want to start a new
chat, not only is the chat window in the background but my chat I want
to start is not the selected tab in the chat manager window.

Thanks for the great plugin.

You should actually file this as a bug against pidgin, they have a call that focuses the window, but it does a lot of fancy stuff to figure out if you launched the chat window through the UI to avoid it popping up when someone IMs you and stealing focus unexpectedly. Maybe we should file a bug and ask for an optional boolean parameter for whether or not to do this checking, or just pop up in front. Dave, want to talk to your buddy about it?

I've already talked to Pidgin devs about it, and they said "send us a patch."
