Do fails to load Synaptic as sudo

I love GNOME Do, but as of a week or so ago I'm finding that whenever
I use it to launch Synaptic I get a message saying that I'm unable to
install programs because I don't have admin rights. It's weird because
I didn't have this issue previously. I honestly can't recall if it
started after either getting an update or changing my plugins, but
it's really bugging the hell out of me.

I'm running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1.

Try: gksudo synaptic

Did you recently install kde maybe?

Yep, I'm another victim of that bug. I have a little kde on my GNOME
box as an Amarok/Project Neon user and a recent update must have
borked things. Thanks for the assist. I'll blog this so others can
