It would help - A Lot - if my users could use their own e-mail address
to sign in to my GAFYD. Does anyone have ideas how this could be
accomplished? In other words, I would like users from outside my
organization to collaborate within my google apps with out requiring
them to get an e-mail using my domain. Thank you very much for you
help.

Domain name is not required for users who log into a GAFYD account :
they only have to know the URL of your GAFYD login page, and their
account. So if have a user whose email address is us...@onedomain.com,
create a user1 account (in fact you create us...@myGAFYDdomain.com,
but forget about the domain).

And if you want them not to use their GMail email address, you can
change the settings so that any mail sent to their GMail address may
be routed to their actual email address (us...@onedomain.com).

Other than sharing a Contact list, what App do you want to share with people outside of your domain?

Page creator doesn't have a collaboration feature, even with Google Apps.

Calendar doesn't have one either, but you can set your calendar to be public and let anyone see, or invite others to an event.

Anyone can sign up for Talk, so they don't need an e-mail on your domain to chat with you.

Docs and Spreadsheets can collaborate with anyone, in or out of your organization.

If you want let other people see your startpage, just give them the URL.  The only thing they won't be able to do is change things.

Nick,
Thanks. I guess the key point is that gmail integrates docs and
spreedsheets, so users are compelled to share by simply clicking
within their e-mail. This is far more effective than imploring users
to share. Your summary is excellent, concise and to the point. Thanks
to both you and David. Please feel free to comment further.
