forwarding google apps mail to regular email does not work?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but I cant get my google
app email to forward to my regular Gmail.

I have created a new email box myn...@mydomain.com, which works
perfectly, I can send and receive mails, so all seems fine.

yet I dont want to check multiple mailboxes so ive set upthe
forwarding option to forward all my mails from myn...@myydomain.com to
myn...@gmail.com, yet it doesnt work.

Any help would be appreciated.
