When clicking on create a document in Gmail, I would like to know what the address is that the mail is sent to, in order to create the document in Google Docs

Win7guru, as far as I know, selecting «Create a document» under «More» in the Gmail toolbar immediately above the message subject sends neither the incoming Gmail message itself nor the Google Doc created to any recipients ; it merely copies the text of the incoming message into a Google Doc, where it can be modified and/or shared. The original message can, of course, also be forwarded, but this, like sharing a Google Doc, requires specific actions in which recipients are chosen and the message dispatched....

I just tested it, and you are exactly right. No unexpected forwarding took place.

It used to though, the address was an arbitrary number with letters and writely.com at the end of the address.  Could you show me where it says that it is copying the text.  I am new to javascript and other programming languages.  Thanks for the response by the way.

Is there a way to automate this task by using a script?
